His interest in periodontology is somewhat unique in that it originated first as a patient, was deepened as a student, and was further refined as a resident. Dr. Riggs underwent several periodontal surgical procedures during his college years, which changed his life and fueled his determination to practice periodontics in order to affect similar change in the lives of others. Through excellent training, Dr. Riggs is proficient in esthetic/functional implant placement, bone and gingival grafting, sinus augmentation, exposure of impacted teeth, crown lengthening, extractions, and periodontal/peri-implant disease management.

In 2008, Dr. Riggs married his wife, Lyndsay, and they have four children. His love of the outdoors and the family-friendly environment enticed Dr. Riggs to northern Colorado where he eagerly is serving the Northern Colorado community. In his spare time, he enjoys basketball, skiing, reading, and spending time with his family.
